Tuesday - Wednesday : Singapore
Transfer to your hotel, The Raffles Hotel in a Palm Court Suite for a two night stay. This city is full of energy and grand historical echoes, a true crossroads of Chinese, Indian and Western culture. There is much to see and do - beautiful botanical gardens, museums, galleries and, of course, shopping, which is almost a national pastime. A guide and car is at your disposal for half a day.

Thursday : Eastern & Oriental Express
Depart Singapore in the morning on board the Eastern & Oriental Express in a State Compartment, enjoying the passing scenery as the train crosses the Straits of Johor. Lunch is served in one of the opulent restaurant cars. Dress for the evening and enjoy listening to the resident pianist in the bar car before dinner. In Kuala Lumpur, where the train stops for a short while, you may disembark for a stroll to admire the Moorish-style station.

Friday : Eastern & Oriental Express
Breakfast in your compartment before a late-morning arrival in Butterworth. Cross by coach on the local ferry to Penang Island. Your visit includes a trip to Chulia Street wet market for a walking tour, and a trishaw ride. Return to the train for lunch and relax with a visit to the observation car, before dinner and a final night on board.

Saturday : Bangkok
Three nights Bangkok. Oriental Hotel, Deluxe suite.

Visit the Grand Palace on Sunday morning with your private guide.
