Enjoy a guided tour of the famous medieval cathedral, with free time to explore the historic city. Pilgrims and visitors have made their way to Canterbury Cathedral since the Middle Ages. It remains one of the most visited places in the country. The Cathedral's history goes back to 597AD when St Augustine, sent by Pope Gregory the Great as a missionary, established his seat (or 'Cathedra') in Canterbury. In 1170 Archbishop Thomas Becket was murdered in the Cathedral and ever since, the Cathedral has attracted thousands of pilgrims, as told famously in Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.

Established in 1834, Dartmouth Royal Regatta is one of the oldest and one of most prestigious Regattas held every Summer. Over the many years the Regatta has grown to support many events and to encourage many spectators to this idyllic and outstandingly picturesque town, nestling in the beautiful South Hams countryside. In addition to the many modern and classic boats to inspect and races to enjoy, there is also a series of air displays throughout the day.
