Days 1, 2 & 3 : Istanbul
Fly from London Heathrow to Istanbul, on arrival transfer to the Ciragan Palace Hotel for a three night stay. A full day sightseeing tour of the city including lunch is included on Day 2. The remainder of your time in Istanbul is at leisure.

Day 4 : Venice Simplon-Orient-Express
Visit the Asian side of Istanbul, before boarding the blue and gold carriages of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express for the start of your journey.

Day 5 : Bucharest
Arrive in Bucharest early afternoon. Enjoy dinner and overnight at the Hilton Athenée Palace Hotel. City sightseeing is included en route to the hotel.

Day 6 - Venice Simplon-Orient-Express
Board the train in the morning for Budapest. A stop is made to visit the opulent, art-filled Peles Castle, built in 1873 for the King of Romania. Lunch is at a local restaurant.

Day 7 - Budapest
Arrive early this morning in the capital of Hungary - Budapest. Enjoy a city tour with lunch, before checking in to the Atrium Hotel. Dinner will be taken at a local restaurant.

Day 8 - Venice Simplon-Orient-Express
The train leaves this morning for Vienna where you have a short city tour before continuing to Venice.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Overnight on board.
Day 9 - Venice / London
Arrive in Venice mid-morning. On arrival, transfer to the airport for your return flight to London Gatwick. Alternatively, you may extend your stay in Venice for a few days - please ask for details.
