Villa San Michele *****L

The Villa San Michele began life as a 15th-century monastery with a façade designed by Michelangelo. Today it is one of Europe's most beautiful hotels. Surrounded by a flower-filled Italian garden, the hotel nestles on a hillside with a sublime view over the rooftops of Florence.

This historic villa houses a variety of suites and rooms while many others are set among the gardens, which are also home to a heated panoramic swimming pool (open subject to season).

The Restaurant offers superb cuisine for the most discerning of gourmands and the alfresco Loggia, with views across the city, is surely one of the most romantic places in the world in which to dine.

Room Categories and Prices

All prices shown in the individual holiday itineraries include a room in the category we have chosen as a standard and indicated above. Unless specified, rooms do not have any particular view and could often overlook an internal courtyard or street. In some cities, rooms may be overlooked by neighbouring buildings due to the narrow streets in the city.

Room Upgrades

Room upgrades to a higher category, including suites and junior suites, are available in most hotels featured. In many cities, hotels charge a supplement for a room with a view. Most holidays can be extended.
