Visit the former colonial city of Singapore, now a vibrant multicultural metropolis, before travelling by Eastern & Oriental Express via Georgetown - the capital of Penang - and the historic River Kwai to Bangkok, Thailand's dazzling capital.
Day 1 : Overnight Flight
Fly from London Heathrow to Singapore with British Airways / Quantas.
Days 2, 3 & 4 : Singapore
Arrive in Singapore, where you stay for three nights. This contemporary city with its spectacular buildings is enhanced by touches of its colonial past. There is much to see and do - beautiful botanical gardens, museums, galleries and, of course, shopping - which is practically a national pastime.
Days 5 & 6 : Eastern & Oriental Express
Depart late morning on the E&O for the two-night journey to Bangkok (Pullman Superior). Stops are made to visit Georgetown - the capital of Penang and the River Kwai. A full description of the train journey can be found at the Train Schedules page.
Days 7 & 8 : Bangkok
Arrive in Bangkok, where you stay for two nights at your chosen hotel. Thailand's capital city offers spectacular temples, colourful markets and a superb range or restaurants offering the very best in Thai cuisine. Optional tours, such as a visit to the wonderful Grand Palace, or the home of Thai Silk - Jim Thomson's House - are available, please ask for details.
Days 9 & 10 : Overnight Flight
Return to London, arriving at London Heathrow on Day 10.
