The Northern Belle - Special Events 2012

The Cheltenham Gold Cup is one of the most anticipated races of the National Hunt season as it showcases the best race horses that Britain and Ireland have to offer. Held every March during the Cheltenham Festival, it attracts the elite of the horse racing community. It's the most prestigious of the National Hunt events, and is sometimes referred to as the Blue Riband of jump racing.

The spring show heralds the start of the UK's gardening show season. It sees the Flower Halls crammed with incredible exhibitions as nurseries from up and down the country compete for the coveted Premier Award and the NEHS Trophy for Best-In-Show. The autumn show is one of the last in the UK's gardening show season and offers green-fingered visitors the chance to see wonderful exhibitions and to pick up some gardening tips. As with the spring show, the Flower Halls are crammed with incredible exhibitions as nurseries from up and down the country compete for coveted awards.
