Days 1 - 3 : Istanbul

Arrive at the crossroads of Europe and Asia - the city of Istanbul. Enjoy three nights at your chosen hotel in this magical city.

Day 4 : Venice Simplon-Orient-Express

Depart Istanbul for the start of your adventure across Europe to Italy beginning with an overnight journey on board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express through Bulgaria to Romania and Bucharest. A spacious Cabin Suite is highly recommended.

Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight on board.

Day 5 : Bucharest

Arrive in Bucharest in time for an afternoon of sightseeing before dinner and an overnight stay at the Athenée Palace Hilton.

Day 6 : Venice Simplon-Orient-Express

Rejoin the train this morning for a short journey to Sinaia, where you disembark for a brief visit to Peleș Castle, once the summer home of the King of Romania. Return to the train to continue your journey towards Hungary.

Day 7 : Budapest

Arrive in Budapest this morning and enjoy a sightseeing tour of this capital, divided into two parts (Buda and Pest) by the mighty Danube River. Enjoy a cruise on the Danube and later, arrive at the Hotel Sofitel (or similar) for an overnight stay.

Day 8 : Venice Simplon-Orient-Express

Rejoin the train this morning for your final night on board en route for Paris.

Day 9 : Paris

Arrival in Venice this morning and enjoy lunch with your fellow travellers before transferring to your chosen hotel.

Day 10 : Paris

Enjoy the sights of this magnificent city; the tree-lined Champs-Elysées, with its ceremonial Arc de Triomphe and the Palais de Chaillot taking in the views of the Eiffel Tower across the Seine. Visit the École Militaire and Les Invalides, where Napoleon is buried and the historical Place de la Concorde. Don't miss the east end of the city with a visit to the Île de la Cité, the Conciergerie, the Hotel Ville and Pont Neuf.

Day 11 : London

After breakfast, you are escorted to the airport for your return flight with British Airways to London or alternatively return by Eurostar.
