Itinerary
Day One: Edinburgh - Boat of Garten
Board the Royal Scotsman train at Edinburgh Waverley Station to begin your gourmet journey. Depart around 13:45 and head north towards the 'Fair City of Perth'. Indulge in a Champagne Afternoon Tea as you traverse the Highland line through Dunkeld, Pitlochry, and Blair Atholl, passing by an imposing castle.
As you continue into the Highlands towards Aviemore, the rolling hills of Perthshire give way to more dramatic peaks and valleys. Aviemore serves as the gateway to the stunning Cairngorms National Park, offering a variety of outdoor activities.
In the evening, the train halts at the serene Highland village of Boat of Garten on the private Strathspey Railway. Enjoy a champagne and canapé reception before savoring a magnificent four-course dinner created by Lorna.
Here, the train finds its resting place for the night, surrounded by the serene beauty of the countryside. The stillness of the night offers a peaceful contrast to the day's adventures, ensuring you wake refreshed and ready to continue your journey through Scotland's breathtaking landscapes.

Day Two: Boat of Garten - Dundee
Following breakfast, journey by coach to Rothiemurchus Estate in the heart of Cairngorms National Park. Engage in clay pigeon shooting, fishing, an estate tour, or a guided hike with a park ranger. Later, convene with Tom at The Doune House for a barbecue lunch amid a stunning mountain backdrop. The peaceful landscaped 19th-century gardens provide the perfect setting for this meal. Learn about the area's farming heritage and venison from the estate's head stalker.
Return to the train at Carrbridge for your journey through Inverness and along the scenic Moray Firth to Forres. Disembark to visit Benromach Distillery and delve into the art of whisky production with a guided tour and tasting session.
Reunite with the train in Keith, where a champagne reception awaits as you continue southward. Traverse the east coast through Aberdeenshire and Angus en route to Dundee, the City of Discovery, situated on the Firth of Tay. Dress elegantly for a gala dinner this evening. Afterwards, join Tom in the Observation Car for lively music, farewell drinks, and toasts.
Day Three: Dundee - Edinburgh
Enjoy a final breakfast onboard as the train departs from Dundee, heading south through the historic Kingdom of Fife. Cross the iconic Forth Railway Bridge spanning the Firth of Forth, and then arrive at Edinburgh Waverley Station around 10:00, where your remarkable journey concludes.
