The Royal Scotsman offers sixteen itineraries, all departing from Edinburgh Waverley. Two-night journeys provide a perfect introduction to the Highland experience, while three and four-night tours cover the most celebrated landscapes and routes. Five-night itineraries add real depth, and the seven-night grand tours cover Scotland comprehensively. Every journey is fully inclusive: accommodation, all meals with wine, all beverages, off-train excursions and entertainment are all included.

Two-Night Journeys

The perfect introduction to the Royal Scotsman. North through Perthshire to Boat of Garten, then a morning at Rothiemurchus Estate with food anthropologist Ghillie Basan and a barbecue lunch, an optional visit to Strathisla Distillery and a gala dinner before the return to Edinburgh.
A Taste of Scotland with Tom Kitchin
Hosted by Tom Kitchin of The Kitchin in Edinburgh. Champagne afternoon tea on the Highland line, a four-course dinner at Boat of Garten, Rothiemurchus Estate and a barbecue lunch at Drumintoul Lodge, then a gala dinner on the final evening.
A Taste of Scotland with Lorna McNee
Hosted by Michelin-starred Scottish chef Lorna McNee. Champagne afternoon tea through Blair Atholl, a wine session with L’Art du Vin, a four-course dinner at Boat of Garten, Rothiemurchus Estate and a barbecue lunch, and a gala dinner on the final evening.

Hosted by Mark Donald of the two-Michelin-starred Glenturret Lalique in Crieff. A wine masterclass with L’Art du Vin, a four-course dinner at Boat of Garten, a barbecue at Drumintoul Lodge, a whisky tasting through Speyside and a gala dinner in Dundee.

Scotland: The West Coast
The West Highland Line at its finest. Loch Lomond and Glen Falloch, the silver sands of Morar, Glenfinnan or the Steall Waterfall, then the Isle of Bute and Mount Stuart, with a gala dinner on the way to Kilmarnock.
The Highlands (3 Nights)
The Kyle of Lochalsh line, Attadale Gardens or the seals of Plockton, country pursuits at Rothiemurchus Estate and a private Speyside distillery tour and tasting. Four days in some of Scotland’s most remote and rewarding country.
Wild Scotland
Three nights with RVIVAL, the experts in skill-based escapes in the wild. Coastal foraging and a shoreline seafood feast near Strathcarron, a cold-water swim if you dare, and a day of bushcraft and a fire-feast at Rothiemurchus.
