Enjoy three or four nights in "La Serenissima", before an overnight journey
from Venice to Paris on board the legendary Venice Simplon-Orient-Express.

Day 1 : Venice

Fly from London to Venice where you transfer by water taxi to your hotel for a three or four night stay.

Overnight in Venice.

Days 2 - 3 or 4 : Venice

Follow in the footsteps of history and explore this beautiful city with its canals and bridges at leisure. The Piazza San Marco - the drawing room of Europe - is on your doorstep, as well as a wealth of galleries and museums. Entrance tickets for the Doge's Palace in Venice are included. Take a leisurely ride on a Gondola around the narrow canals or board on of the busy Vaporetto boats for a trip along the Grand Canal. Alternatively, take one of the Alilaguna boats across the lagoon to The Lido or the island of Murano to see the famous glass-making factories.

You have a timed entry to the Doge's Palace or Guggenheim Museum included in your fare.

Day 4 or 5 : Venice Simplon-Orient-Express

After breakfast at your hotel, say farewell to Venice as you are transferred via water-taxi to Santa Lucia Station for the highlight of your holiday. Depart mid-morning on board the blue and gold carriages of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and travel through the wonderful scenery of Italy, Austria and Switzerland.

Afternoon tea and pastries are served before arrival into Innsbruck late afternoon. Enjoy a gastronomic dinner, served in one of the beautifully restored restaurant cars, and perhaps a night cap (or two) in the bar before an overnight on board.

Day 5 or 6 : Paris to London

Awake, as the VSOE travels through France towards Paris as your steward serves a continental breakfast in your cabin. Then prepare to disembark as the train pulls into Paris Gare d'Austerlitz where your journey on board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express will come to an end.

Transfer to Gare du Nord station for your Eurostar journey from Paris to London St Pancras.
